“lebeINNSBRUCK” is the title of a project which should arouse and reinforce the citizens’ enthusiasm and love for their city through their interactive participation in the suggested projects and activities.
The aim is the vitalization of the city for the inhabitants of Innsbruck. It is in the designated target to develop a profile of Innsbruck which creates identity and makes the city distinguishable.
The historic paths allow the visitor to discover and get to know a different side of the city and they raise the awareness of Innsbruck’s particularity and its hidden historic treasures.
Single stations on the historic paths are occupied by historically relevant people of the city who tell the visitors their stories.
Through projections, the facades of houses become a “communicative skin” or a surface for media, which changes constantly. That way historic messages will be transported to the outside. Participatory projects are planned, in order to strengthen the social network.
Plants, through various initiatives and installations, shall contribute to an improvement in the quality of living.
Creating architecture of cohabitation as well as to invigorate the public space are the aims of the project.
The invigorating spirit of a city is made up of its inhabitants, as already augustinus aurelius stated.
